Guy was born in Hampshire in 1991, and received his early musical training on saxophone and as a chorister in the Winchester Cathedral Choir. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Christian Forshaw, completing a masters with scholarships from the Countess of Munster Trust and the Guildhall and appearing as a finalist in the Worshipful Company of Needlemakers Woodwind Prize.
As a classical player he has performed across Europe at venues including the Barbican Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall and Konzerthaus, both with the Kaleidoscope Saxophone Quartet and larger ensembles including the European Union Youth Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. He is often called upon as a multi-instrumentalist, with proficiency as an oboist complementing the traditional trio of saxophone, clarinet and flute, and has worked in theatres in the West End and across the country.
As a folk musician, Guy is a member of London folk-fusion band Tribe of Tinkers, performing on the festival scene and regularly packing out venues in London and on tour throughout the UK.
